I agree with you, the world seems full of really stupid people at present, starting from the top down! On a personal standpoint, I've not long started a new relationship and it's playing havoc with my need to fuck her! We live about 30 minutes apart but you can't leave home excepting for a very good reason (food shopping, pharmacy, etc) In my book, fucking your new squeeze is important!

I guess what bothers me about the people that are moving around (example: people with the means leaving NYC now) and ignoring the medical advice is that it's turning the rest of our efforts into a waste of time. The virus will continue to multiply because of these people and the rest of us, bored, stressed, and stuck at home are effectively wasting our time by following instructions. I don't want to be doing this still in two months. I want everyone to take their lumps RIGHT NOW so we can all get back to work and normal life as soon as possible. If 99% of the population would simply stay home for 3 weeks, this would be effectively over with. If people keep ignoring the distancing plan and heading out to different cities and states, I might very well emerge from 2 plus months of quarantine and still get the fucking virus! Then I'm going to be pissed that I wasn't out golfing for the last two months. Good luck everyone. Stay safe.

Waiting to impose social distancing only makes it worse and also makes it last much longer. Think about this like any other disease. If you have a cancerous tumor, do you want to wait until it grows bigger to do something about it? Do you stick your head in the sand and hope it goes away? No, the sooner you treat anything, the better.

I only hope we learn from our mistakes, although it doesn't seem like countries are learning from what has happened in other countries affected before them to be honest.

Yes the only real way for this virus to go away is for a vaccine to be found that will effectively treat it in most cases.
Like any other virus it will still cause death even then if the patient has underlying health problems.

The staying at home policy is to give our health service a chance.
Staying at home is not a cure. But it is an option and the best one at this moment in time.

I've heard the arguments against this. Someone saying self isolation, social distancing is rubbish. We should all just get in with our lives and let the virus do it's thing, it will eventually subside normally.

That's the herd mentality. Meaning hundreds of thousands more deaths (not hundreds) as the NHS gets swamped and people simply die at home because there's no place for them to go for help.

I've been a contributo on here for some time now, and it's still pisses me off when you have to either substitute words/symbols or make up words. Sometimes there seems no reason to it at all.

As we don't live together and she has some underlying health issues, I have only seen my girlfriend once a week since the lock-down in the UK and then only to deliver shopping for her, whilst keeping to the 2m social distancing. Looking at his recently created new Facebook account, he has "forgotten" the passwords to his previous two. My girlfriend has known him since she was a teenager, but not seen him for almost 20 years. I am very lucky in that I have a big enough space to move around in and a garden large enough to keep me busy.
I live a hop away from open countryside too......the benefit of living in Wimbledon.

I am looking on with interest as to whats happening in the States. It would appear an awful lot of people do not like being told to stay at home and consider it an infringement of their civil liberties.
That is until one of the idiots contracts the virus and is really sick.
