Hello Everybody,
Ive belonged to this site for a long time, always looking and hoping that one day the wife would come around and allow me to purchase a device. While she has indulged me in many of my sub fantasies, (Ive cleaned my cum from her pussy, she takes me with a strap-on on occasion and weve played with orgasm denial) she has never liked the thought of getting an actual device. But finally after some explaining that its a mental tool and something to help me not play with myself she agreed. In my excitement I fear that I may have made a mistake with my purchase. I ordered a Birdlocked Classic and it is exactly what I thought it would be. However, I feel that maybe I should have got the larger size tube. when I try and slide the head into the tube im still left with a bend in the shaft, and while its not uncomfortable most of the time it hurts like hell when I get hard. I realize that the pain is part of the deal, but I read that night time erections were not really an issue with the Birdlocked. I woke up twice last night in excruciating pain. Thankfully my wife was worried about that so she left the key out and I took it off about 4am. (I know....I pussed out). My question, is this normal? Just fight through it? Or should I see if my wife will let me drop another $100 on the bigger model? Any help is great. Thanks!

Yeah...I know Ill get plenty of opinions on other devices. I like the idea of a softer device. I have a kid and it seems like its easier to hide than having a hard chunk of plastic there. Just wondering if anyone can tell me if the fit sounds right?

Take a look at the pictures at the end of this post.

If your flaccid penis fills the device like that, it is right size. If you have to bend or power your flaccid penis in, it is probably too small.

Hi jmac, at first in my cage at night I would get terrible pain, not in my cock but my balls. 4 years on and sometimes I still get it but much less. The pain I have is usually from the swelling cutting off the red flow to my balls. I have a birdlocked too, as well as other devices and sometimes the birdlocked can be really painful.

My view is get used to it/get over it. The night-time erection problem will become less - and till then, think about why you are wearing it every time you get the pain.

Pain is the bodies way of alerting you to damage occuring, ignoring it can lead to permanent damage, so be careful unless you want to be permanently scarred and switch offd for life. Sexual preferences and exploring ones fantasies is one thing, permanent medical damage is another!

Nocturnal erections subside over time when wearing a device, at least they did for me.

After a while, your brain develops a natural 'shutoff' when you start to get hard while relaxing. If you get through the 'learning curve' after a week or two, you should be fine.

I wear a "Jailbird" from Mature Metal, and have worn more and less expensive devices over the years. The JB is the most comfy. It seems counter intuitive, but the SMALLER the cage, the LESS the pain, at least in my case. If there is no room for an erection, it will subside more quickly. That said, they all cause pain and wake you up at night. All of the plastic CB series are too big for me. The jailbird is custom made to the size of your willy when it is flaccid and small.

In my experience it is usual to have trouble relaxing through the night with a new device. Thwarted nighttime erections wake you more easily when they are allowed to inflate. It get easier with time and experience. However, if as you say your pain is excruciating, rather than just damned uncomfortable, you may have a sizing problem.

The trick with long-term or constant wear chastity is that you want the discomfort to be more mild but more regular than short term "scene" chastity. You want the device sized so that when you start to get hard, you feel discomfort, even a bit of pain, but nothing too intense. Occasional short-term chastity can be quite restricting because it doesn't last long, it is the difference between high-impact infrequent events (like the hurricanes or forest fires) and frequent, low-impact events (like regular thunderstorms and rain or the falling of old, fragile trees.)

Overtime, you work you way up slowly to more constricted situations as your body becomes conditioned by the pain to have fewer erections and you become habituated to the discomfort. (You may also find your erections not as large as the very plastic erectile tissue becomes use to not stretching itself so far.)

Of course, it is possible - as with any conditioning - to jump in the deep end rather than working your way up. But it has a higher risk of doing injury. Going this route is best reserved for people who have a partner experienced in chastity and/or bondage and/or biology (like a wife who is an MD, nurse, or pro Domme) and is watching you carefully from the outside as your own thinking can get pretty distorted from all the unreleased tension. Think about lifting weights at the gym - you can start slow and work up gradually, but if instead you want to start with a boot camp style exhaust yourself regime right off, you really need to do it with an experienced permisteral trainer who can ensure you don't hurt yourself. (It also helps not to have anything else important going on in your life since such intense quick starts - in exercise or chastity - can be pretty all consuming experiences.) From what you say, this doesn't sound like your wife and I gather there is no third-party consultant helping, so I advise slow and steady for you.

Good luck with this!
