I can supply almost all pre-production, production AND post-production service needs myself. I am also able to supply almost all gear and equipment needs. That means I can write screen plays, storyboard, cast, shoot, light, direct, score and edit stuff entirely by myself. That also means I have my own HD Camera with shot gun mic, Computer with Final Cut Editing Software and 192K Audio Recording Studio. I would do all pre- production, production and post production work as my primary job spending 60-80 hours a week or more as the project needed. That means these projects will be regarded as my bread & butter and all my focus, time and energy will be spent on this with no other freelance work interfering. You would be getting your projects the undivided attention of a film making dynamo. I am endlessly creative, with a style duplicated by no one, tapping into markets untouched - Think about that reality. I would do this ALL for the ridiculous sum of $1000 a week paid under the table. I would like to produce 1 film per month and 12 total for the year at this rate.

Other expenses on a PER FILM basis would need a budget of

Talent - $ 1000 - $2000

Costuming / Make-Up & Hair - $ 500 - $ 1000

Locations - This would be a variable number and dependent upon story screen play. Could be as little as $0 to $2000 depending how wild we want to get. It is an area if we are creative where costs can be cut.

Legal - This would be for all on file paper work on every performer as well as creating working contracts. $250

Travel - This is a cost we can control as well. If there is a phenomenal performer who is available then perhaps we can fly them in but we should be able to meet all production talent needs locally. It is also dependent on location. To shoot outside central florida will bring production costs significantly up. It is something to discuss once we establish initial success.

One Time Expenses

In summary you would be getting a completed film once a month for a cost range of $2750 - $7250. You would completely own all copyrights and may sell each film and market it with NO ROYALTY obligations to ANYONE. The ONLY copyright I would like to retain will be to any music / scoring that I do on each film. You would easily pull $50,000 a film just getting it into adult stores across the country and WILL EASILY make more considering the quality of your HD original story final product and if you are good at marketing and distributing the product - the sky is the limit. It is really a no brainer. Your start up costs would only be $1000 plus First Films Escrow and whatever llc or incorporated business start up costs you would incur in setting it up. Why would I do this load of work for $52,000 annualy ( which would be typically in the neighborhood of $1 million for writing, story boarding, casting, lighting, directing, shooting, scoring and editing 12 films in the adult industry ) ? I am willing to do this at a cut rate because I do not have the capital or means to start a venture of this magnitude and explore the areas I want to explore. It is worth it to me to explore my passion ( film making ) on my favorite subject matter ( nasty sex ) and be able to earn a decent return for my time. By years end I will also have a great demo reel showcasing my s*******s. We can then sign on to do another 12 films ( but I will require a higher rate ) or I will move on to directing for Vivid, Wicked or Digital Playground.

Certainly an interesting venture! Especially for some one/company familiar with the adult entertainment industry or distribution knowledge within that area. Wonder what the barriers to entry is at least for the off-line part - feels like a very concentrated group of players, aside from the various online projects out there for adult video/productions in general.

I've considered producing a quality documentary on the subject but the amount of work for one permister and the time consideration was too much. I'd much rather work with one or two other good knowledgeable producers. You are really undercutting yourself in terms of the amount of work and the money you are willing to accept.
