I know what you are talking about. I'm not sure what the physiology is, but I suspect what you are noticing is that the muscles around her vaginal wall are clenching harder than usual. When my wife really gets going, the area around the cervix opens up and the main vaginal canal clenches sort of spasmodically, making it feel like you are pushing through a much tighter opening.
