Compersion vs. Cuckold

Compersion is a selfless happiness, satisfaction and elation felt when knowing that one's partner is loved and satisfied by a third party.

The man feeling compersion towards his wife does not have the typical characteristics of a cuckold. He is strong, confident, and totally accepting with his wife. He and his wife might as well be enjoying being in love.

Is comeprsion "too rosy and positive" for cuckoldry?

Too relaxed, perhaps.

Many cuckolds say they love the rush of jealousy from seeing their partner being 'taken away from them'. With compersion, that is a quite different state of mind.

Compersion is said to be a state of empathetic happiness and joy experienced when an individual's romantic partner experiences happiness and joy through an outside source, including, but not limited to, another romantic interest. This can be experienced as any form of erotic or emotional empathy, depending on the permister experiencing the emotion.

close to insomnia if she is gone for more than a day

calming down/relaxing

lots of relaxing with her in my arms
...and also compersion (I guess)

If it would ever happen to us, we'd all get a jolt of breath-taking adrenalin if a lover would take me away to the bedroom and ask my husband for some privacy. I don't know which my husband would feel - compersion or pangs of cuckold jealousy...compersion, I think
