Cleaning:
We clean about once a week (outside of bathing/showering)... the cage comes off and soaks in the sink with hot water and detergent (no chemical cleansers). I go in the bath, read a bit, then she scrubs me down. The cage gets scrubbed, and put back on. All takes about an hour.
