Well, obviously this is a subject that goes back to the dawn of Europe & America's first interactions with the Far East. You might want to look at the celebrity offspring of white-Asian unions. I've noticed that in Japan and India (possibly China too, but I haven't paid much attention) there are a rising number of Eurasian media permisteralities, particularly women, who are admired for their beauty. Sometimes this even goes a bit too far, as this article makes plain:

There could be any number of reamisters for this, like aesthetics ("Oh, look at her green-blue eyes!"), colonialism ("We are inferior, they are superior"), culture ("I've always loved European fashion / food / music...etc."), exoticism ("He / She must be so interesting to talk to!"), and peer-pressure ("Well, everyone's doing it...").
