My husband (You know him as Goodhusband) writes his stories on the notepad (part of the accessories section of Windows) and saves his stories as he writes them.

He says he uses notepad because it works well in a half screen format and you can have another window open in the other half. He will frequently have a picture open in the other window. He particualrly does this when he's trying to write a sex scene. We will search through the sites like askjolene.com or freeones.com until we find a series of pictures that reflect the scene he is trying to create and then he will describe it in his story. My husband feels that creating good sex scenes is the hardest part of writing erotica.

Once he has a rough draft he will cut and paste it to the word pad and save it. This is also found in the the accessories section of windows.

Then it's my turn. I cut and paste that draft into a high quality word processor and edit his story. We use openoffice.org because it's free and we think it is every bit as good as microsoft word.

Once his story is edited I cut and paste it back to the wordpad and save it. The story is then ready to be uploaded to this site. Wordpad uploads a very clean copy.

If you're writing on a work computer, you might want to invest in a flash drive so you don't have to keep your work saved on a company computer.
