I recall a few years back about a couple who had been married for something like 15 years. Both early forties I believe.
I think if memory serves me well their story was on some tv programme. Married at 25-26 and the husband after years of marriage went off with his younger secretary.......Never heard that before
But the wife who had on her own admission, let herself go a bit. Instead of getting depressed about it. Got the most she could from a divorce settlement and started dieting, going to the gym.
Had her hair and make up done professionally and bought designer gear.
At 42 years of age she suddenly transformed into a knockout and dated ....you guessed it. Lots of younger guys who sated her sexual appetite.
Her ex of course wanted her back.
Did she go back.....no fuckin way.
