I actually had one of these things once. It was incredibly impractical and far to easy to remove without the key.

Some of the older devices were like you say. Much of it has to do with getting the proper fit. I have a CB6000s and while I have used a vibrator to have an "ok" orgasm, just ok, I cannot remove it without the key. If your keyholder takes an active role in getting one of these devices for you, they are very practical. Just saying.
