simple just like an art critic may not be a good painter but he knows when a certain painting or sculpture is good. He understands the work and thought process of creating. Same goes for book or movie critics.

Sure it's biased but that is our nature. Either we like something or we don't. I don't like Rap, so I don't listen to it. Doesn't mean that it is not a valid art form. Just not my thing.

Same here. Kenneth is expressing his personal preferences. I may not always agree with his choices but that is mostly because that particular cap didn't ring my 'bell'.

No one has time to look at all the caps. So his list provides a service. It highlights certain threads and if one is interested, one go and look into it some more.
