Long time viewer first time poster

Hey, I have always been a fan of captions but I could never find the time to learn how to use photoshop.

I managed to throw my first caption together using Gimp.

I would be grateful if anyone could point me to some simple tutorials for captioning pictures.

I like to find pictures (jpg's) that I like and post them into PowerPoint. Then I use the text application to add text. I can then do screen shots (<function> and <print screen> keys at the same time). I post that into Paint, resize to fit, save as a jpg, and upload! It is easier than it sounds, and uses only programs that came on the computer. I find PowerPoint easier to do text in than Paint...
