can anyone assist?

i seem to remember reading in one of the threads about making text boxes next to a photo, and for the life of me i can't find it. i'd like to be able to do this for smaller pics and maybe combining two pics. i use MS Digital Image primarily. it's really easy to use. i recently downloaded a trial of Photoshop and that seems really complicated. lol, but it's supposed to be the best. i'm not a computer expert, but i can usually work my way through things. i would appreciate anyone who does use these text boxes to let me know what they use and how to do it. thanks, priss

I don't know about MS Digital Image but its easy in PS:
open file
Image> Canvas size
set your anchor so the extra space show up on one side or on bottom
then add to hight or with to add space for the text
then use the text tool to add the caption
once you have your caption right
Layers>merge layers
Then save
File>save
IF you need to resize to make it smaller i can tell you how to do that too

Did it work mate? Did you try photoshop or Corel draw? its a pisser to start, but after a week or so you wont be able to do without it!
