Has anyone been lately?
It's ages since I went, probably 10 years or more. A female friend, new to the scene, would like me take her to a suitable place for newbies, and I need to know if this place still fits the bill.
It used to be great at weekends, but a bit quiet on week nights. Except when a Irish girl called Bernie used to come in from Essex with her cabbie fella. She used to put out for any and all the black guys in the club. Wow, she used to light the place up. I got chatting with them in the bar area one night, and they said it was the best place for action on that side of London - with the exception of the back of his cab when they picked up random punters! Lucky bastards, a random fuck with a gorgeous Irish slut, and a ride home.
Doubt she's still on the scene, but if there's still regular action to watch or join in, it might be a good intro. for my friend.
