It seems everytime I take that test I get a slightly different result... and I've read that's one of the intrinsic faults of the test. I do almost always get S&T, usually E, but it's always a wash on J/P.

Keith Knife Hi Keith,
well, it's not exactly a "fault" of the MBTI. Everytime you answer the MBTI questionnaire, you find yourself in a different context and a different frame of mind. This alone will influence your score. MBTI's strength lies more in giving you a generic understanding of yourself, allowing you to extrapolate that understanding to your interactions with others.
