Has anyone noticed about Keira Knightley...

I have just happened to catch a movie starring Keira Knightley I had not seen before, called "The Duchess" - a true story, where Knightley plays the wife of an English Duke and cuckolds him persistently with a young lover, and despite being repeatedly begged to stop, insists that she will continue.

I notice as well that she is starring in the soon to be released Anna Karenina, one of the most famous cuckold stories ever told.

I got curious so I checked out her body of work on Wikipedia, and while I missed it she also played Queen Guinevere in a 2004 rendition of King Arthur - as we all know, Guinevere famously cuckolds King Arthur with no other than Sir Lancelot himself.

In addition to this, she starred in The Edge of Love, a movie about a woman who cuckolds her husband while he is at war with her best friend's husband!

But Also...

Major cuckold themes in "Last Night" where she is the main character, and as a bonus, In "Seeking a Friend of the End of the World" she informs another character that he has been cuckolded.

Before anyone gets too excited most of these are very much "English period piece" type movies and I wouldn't describe them as worth seeing for the cuck scenes like I would some other films like Boogie Nights.

But, isn't it interesting that Knightley seems to love playing cuckoldresses - including some of the most widely discussed and celebrated cuckoldresses of history?

Does anyone know of any other scenes involving Knightley and cuckold themes? All of a sudden she is one of my favourite actresses! :p

It's enough to make a few of us wonder....and maybe smile.

In pirates of the Caribbean - one character is in love with her - but she seems very tempted by the pirate played by johnny depp.

In Love Actually, she almost cuckolds her black husband. His white best friend is desperately in love with Keira's character, and when he gathers the courage to admit it to her, she is ready to start an affair with him. But the best man's conscience and loyal friendship stop any further development. Very vanilla, it's a romantic comedy.
In Never Let Me Go, she "cuckolds" another woman if you can call it that. She seduces Andrew Garfield for sport just so Carey Mulligan can't have him.
Interesting choice of deliciously devilish female characters indeed, though sadly, I wouldn't read anything into it.

I think she has a beautiful, but bitchy, face... her look is perfect for this role! She probably landed the first "cruel goddess" role because of her look and now is mildly type cast into it.
