I don't know... some guys can be intimidated when the hubby is present. That's why I'm always prepared to lead the conversation initially, sticking to basic warm up conversation. After they warm up, I tend to ease back and let them banter.
At some point, you need to have a signal pre-arranged with your wife that she likes or doesn't like him. Chemistry in permister can be different than it is on the web! Assuming she likes him, I usually take the lead in suggesting we adjourn to the house.
At that point it's not uncommon to suggest she ride back with him. That gives them 1-on-1 chat time, and by the time you get home they should be ready to head to the bedroom.
