I think it doesnt work for every kind pics censored. I had consered one pic of me and later I lost the original pic... can you make use of your "wonder of modern technology" ? Skype: Turkish.Master...Life is Life la la la la la.... |

Please show these folks some respect!!!! Real people have real lives to protect. Why not respect their wishes? We enjoy seeing images of real people.....your efforts to 'out' real people will surely dampen peoples interest in posting genuine images.
Is this really necessary?

I'll bite as well. If your intent is to demonstrate the risk of blacking out faces in certain ways then what is the way to do it that doesn't allow you to reverse it?

Ok, be calm and listen to me...
I think thats the way how they uncensore some pics. In order to make censored pictures, If you prefer covering your pics with some shapes, instead of directly cuting her eyes or face on pic, you give permission some ppl to remove these covers from your pics. So just cut, dont modify any other tool to hide her face. Thats all...

Figured it out. They are using the jpg preview to get the face pics. Some jpg files contain 2 sections of data, a thumbnail section of data and a main-image section of data. some imaging editing software only changes the main-image portion (like paint) and not the thumbnail section. Then these guys can use a program like jhead.exe to extract the thumbnail data and save it as a new jpg. Photoshop pro saves your changes to both the thumbnail and the main image sections of the file.
The key is to look at the small thumbnail image of your jpg in windows explorer. If the face is not covered on there, then the image can be extracted. If it is covered then your good, and you can post away!!
I think Black sheep did us a favor by showing us that this was possible.

i think showing it could be done was a useful lesmister but if someone has blanked their face out they want 'some' privacy. Don't use their lack of technical knowledge agains them.

Yes and after some time windows automatically changes the thumbnail to match the photo--at least it did for me. But by all means..lets see some more. |
