I need some advice from an experienced user of teamviewer

OK I tried it for the first time the other day and I have a few questions

I clicked on "file transfer" menu and someone let me transfer a file from their computer to mine but what I thought of (later on) was could this "someone" also try to "steal" a file from my computer especially without my knowledge?

In the "file transfer" window I could see some of his files but it also showed my files in a split screen window...since he allowed me to take one of his files is it possible he also could have stolen one of my files?

Is teamviewer a good protected site for file transfers? virus protected?

Is there anyway to tell if one of my files were taken by someone?
