So it is about ten times the risk compared with white population, on the average. I would hazard to guess that this differential is much smaller if you are looking at the educated population within this community, but it is reason for some caution. Of course practice safe sex, but does that include condoms for oral sex as well as dental dams, no kissing and no exchange of body fluids? Hard to imagine being that careful.

Where did you get those aids statistics? According to the CDC there are currently 17,960 active HIV/AIDS cases in 2006 within the black community. There were 36.4 million blacks in the USA according to the census bureau. That's means slightly less than half of 1% of the black community has the HIV/AIDS virus. Are your numbers from Africa or something? Because I can't see any way to twist stats to make it read that 27.1% of blacks (which would be nearly 10 million people) have HIV/AIDS. Especially since the CDC also says that there were 37,852 total Aids cases in the entire country in 2006.

Your numbers for whites and hispanics are also similarly high.
