Interesting ritual!
My father-in-law told me that it is a marriage ritual in some places for a father to de-flower his daughter before her wedding so that she does not have the pain and mess on her wedding night. I never found out if it truly is a ritual anywhere in the world, but he sure did it - right here in the U.S.A.

Talking of Phillipine rituals, can anyone maybe throw light on what happens in Manilla on St Valentine's day (coming soon on 14 February)? I read someplace that in Manilla (& on a lesser scale in other towns), a few years back the Catholic Church wanted married couples, in a public place, to french kiss their spouses--- the intention being that the church reckoned the married couples would then go home, all horny, & procreate, an act naturally VERY precious to the Catholic church. I dont know about this phillipine ritual being real or not, and I didnt have MANY men before my wedding, but it was completely unplanned and unexpected, but I did end up having one man right before my wedding. My husband does not know about that happenning and I dont know how he would react if he did. I still cant believe I did that right before my wedding !
