I have been involved with Second Life on an off, over the past few years. As time passes, it gets better, but the real problem is it sucks up so much of your time. This is a virtual world and potentially you can lose yourself in this world, so beware. It is a really neat concept and it is free, but the real cost is in your free time and limited by the quality of people, and business interests trying to get you to spend money there.

I visit SL a fair amout, and i agree, it takes up a lot of time. But as it was mentioned, about $20 will set you up, and there's a lot of good people to meet. (There are idiots too) I go to Blackzone.. Look me up: Sweetmilf Mint

Recently I heard about a site like "SL" called "Red Light Center (http://www.redlightcenter.com). I have not tried it. Supposedly it is similar to "SL", but specializes in adult entertainment. Maybe someone here has tried it and can recommend it.

I tried it for the same reason that many have mentioned here, to test the water and hope to get my wife more adventurous. But it left me a bit cold.
