Is it still possible for a woman to get pregnant after the tubes are tied, and are there any stats out there on the chances of getting pregnant? Just curious.

No form of sterilisation is guaranteed to be 100%.
While the odds are low, it has been known for men & women to be able to reproduce after sterilisation has taken place.

I believe that the odds are about 0.1 %. Not much and that is why it is considered one of the safest methods. in fact, it depends on how the procedure was done and how old is the woman. Studies showed that for some women, the tubes somehow reconnect after a few years.

As my wife had her tubes tied and I have a huge fantasy on the preg stuff, I did check that before. so if the thought gets you up, go for it: let her have it unprotected knowing that she is almost guaranteed to be safe...in our case if something was to happen, it would be totally unexpected and we would realize it much too late for the"day after pill". so that would be an interesting situation....
