When I say the end of the link I mean RIGHT AT THE END. If it has anything else at the end it is either compressed, compressed and split or just plain split (which is the case with the ones you downloaded). In order for you to view the joined version you must use the same software that split it in the first place to rejoin all those pieces together; in this case the software is HJSplit (just search for it on the Internet and download it = its free, small and simple to use). You mentioned that you were able to play the first file = all the information a media player needs to play a MPG movie is contained at the beginning of the movie which, if it is split, is only present in the first split piece which means the first piece will play but the rest wont.
