Hello,

I know it's off topic but can somebody tell me how to deal with files in the RAR format. How can I merge them into a 'working' file. It would help me a lot. Thanks

These are 2 programs that I am aware of that will join RAR files into a working file:

WinRAR (Free trial version available)

7-Zip (Free)

I am only familiar with WinRAR. Once you have downloaded and installed WinRAR all you need to do is:

Download all the RAR parts to the same folder on your PC - Open that folder and double click the first RARed file and WinRAR will auto run - follow the prompts and there you go.

To find the downloads just put "program name" followed by "download" into your search engine.

Hope this has been of use.

I get them of places like YouTube - they are amatuer posts - quite old in some cases - probably originally on VHS and copied and reposted many times. The girl and her hubby are the only ones who would have the original recording but who they are is a mystery to me

you can use "Windows Media Player Classic v6.4.9.0"( a small compact better version of the normal media player thats comes with most computers) this plays .Flv even the newer ones you find on them .Tube sites , you can even take screenshots of movies to post previews.

If this doesnt work for you might have to install a program called "ffdshow" Both these programs are free and there are a lot of easy to follow guides on net on how to install and set up "ffdshow"
