I have heard on another site that others thought Maria was a fake. I wrote to her a few times and got expansive, coherent and well thought out responses back. If she was a fake, she went to a great deal of trouble to be so. It's a pity she imploded at the end. She could have become one of the all time greats. Perhaps she still will. I miss her.
