"Ginger and Mikey" He stopped writing it because he didn't think it was actually a very worthwhile plot.

"Chattel" It overwhelmed him

"Cassandra and Francis" Health problems caused him to set it aside and he never went back. He also concieved the plot for "Courtesan" while he was taking his break and "Courtesan" captured his interest.

"The End Of The Party" It was too personal for both of us.

'Chattel' and 'Cassandra and Francis' (the 2 of the above that I've read) are both excellent works, but I could tell that GH absolutely slaved over them. The loving detail he put into those stories was nothing short of incredible - his trademark, really - and I can well understand how either could become overwhelming after awhile, even if they were a labor of love.

There are a whole mess of folks that are going to miss him here, but you gotta do what you gotta do. Have no doubt that I and the many others that admire and respect both of you will completely support whatever path you ultimately choose to take.

Thanks to him for the joy and pleasure he has brought me, and thanks to you for loaning him to us when you could have demanded more of his time and attention for yourself. It's much appreciated.
