I wear two steel belts, the Chastitysteel CS500 and the Steelworxx Steelheart2.....

I can only comment on the neosteel shemale sports belt but here are my views...

Yes they can be worn permanantly with release say twice a week for cleaning etc. Once you get a good fit and get used to it they are surprisingly comfortable. I would allow a good month of on and off tweaking to get the fit right though.

They are relatively hygeinic although when you pass water there will inevitably be some left within the tube. As long as you shower daily then this isn't a problem. I have the comfort tube with the extra holes in which helps in cleaning but can make urinating more messy as the urine can pass out of some of the other holes.

You an't move the cable very far when you open your bowels but if you use baby wipes it isn't a problem cleaning up just bit of a nuisance. The open style ones avoid this problem but I don't think they are as comfortable as the sports style.

They are tamper proof and inescapable if you get the right options. The padlock is the most secure, once your in you wont get out of it without the key or you will have to start cutting with a saw if you dare...! The snap lock as far as I can tell can be opened with something like a nail which kind of defeats the point. You can have the steel seal wires but again in a moment of weakness you may reach for the wire cutters...! If you want it on with NO way of getting it off then you need the padlock. It's not quite as low profile but again it isnt noticable under normal clothes.

I had some problems with the measuring kit. Even though we used it three times the rear cable was about 50mm too short and this cos me another ?100 and another 6 week wait to get it sorted. Measure, measure, then go away and measure again over a period of a few days. If it doesn't fit it will be 'your fault' and you will have to pay for a modification which isn't cheap.

After a very very infuriating time waiting for the modification to the rear cable to be carried out I am very happy with it. One tip I would give you is they need bending to your shape when you first get them. I know it sounds daft but a few mm bending makes an enourmous difference to comfort...
