A humbler is a device, usually made of wood, that has two main pieces. They fit together and have a small groove between them. The scrotum is pulled away from the body, the pieces are brought together and screwed tight, and the balls wind up unable to escape through the small groove. The pieces are curved to fit against the backs of the thighs. So a guy in one of these, on all fours, has his balls sticking behind him, trapped, and totally exposed.
