Seems like many of us got our cuckold interest aroused by those Penthouse Variation stories. SheDatesHeWaitsI have to wonder about the definition of 'cuckold' as being the husband of an unfaithful wife. Although many cuckolds don't know about the wife's infidelity I guess it would fit in those instances...when we are not only aware of her extra marital activity, but also in full agreement with it I think they quit classifying the hubby as a cuckold. There is another term that escapes me right now but it marks the difference between a hubby that is being cheated on (a cuckold) and one who fully approves of the wife's sex outside the marriage, as is our case. I would not consider the wife as 'unfaithful' whenever she is doing it with the hubby's full approval. She's then just being a hot wife as far as I see it. My 2 cents worth!

There's a subtle difference in the definitions. The traditional implication of cuckold was that the hubby was unaware of his wife's adultery, whereas the wittol is aware of it and tolerates it.

Like you mentioned, the interpretation of infidelity and adultery is a part of it, too. My wife doesn't consider it cheating because I encourage her encounters. However, there are also those who would argue that technically any sex outside of marriage is adultery.

Thank you, that's the word I could not think of: 'wittol'. I guess not many people would know that word nor its definition but it's what we are! I don't consider my wife as committing any kind of adultery nor being in the least unfaithful. Not when I'm her best cheer leader, # 1 fan, and grateful to her for providing me with some awesome great times. I haven't seen it on our newsagent's shelves since around 2010- though it may still exist online.
