Norway, Sweden and Denmark speak similar languages. Finland, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia speak completely different languages. Icelandic is closer but not easy for Norwegians, Swedes and Danes.
It can be debated whether Finland is a Scandinavian country but they are surely our close friends.
Keep it Scandinavia only for language reasons.

Don't get this really...?? In Sweden we speak Swedish, but I guess about 90% of the population speaks and read English very well. The same is to be said about Denmark and Norway.
If there will be a Scandinavian forum (which I hope!!) it should be for Swedes, Danes and Norwegians because these languages are similar. We don't understand Finnish or Icelandic... The Baltic states have not been part of Scandinavia since 300 years back - when they belonged to Sweden...
Here are French, German, Italian and more forums - of course here must be a Scandinavian too, don't you know that Scandinavian girls are the best looking in the world?

Hey Joranc.
You can speak swedish too, right? As far as I know most finns can speak swedish. And Icelandic people can speak danish, so why not just creat the forum and let people write in "Nordic", which is basicly danish, swedish and norweigan. And everyone can understand pictures........

i use a translator oelx2.... you make a very good point in that language is no problem for the Finns as they are among the most gifted of people. and also you point out that every one understands pics we should not let language be an issue or the politics of what is Scandinavia ,,realy
what about 'Nordic Fennoscandia forum'??? so as not to upset neither the Finns or the Danes.
***and i hope it is ok to re post here to keep it easily accessible for viewer please vote **

Don't quite know how this became a big thing, but I figured I'd give my side of it.
Language has little to do with what Scandinavia is. Scandinavia takes its name from the mountain range that begins in Denmark (believe it or not but although Denmark is mostly flat, the same bedrock can be found there as in the northern part of Norway and Sweden) and continues north in Norway and Sweden.
Thus, Scandinavia consists of Denmark, Norway, and Sweden only. However, for geopolitical reasons Finland is often counted in. Therefore, if we're nit picking, maybe we should call the forum the Nordic forum (so that we may include Finland and Icelan entrance as well.

Whats wrong with Lutefisk.....nammm, nammm
But I agree with Spoofull 1983; Scandinavia is ONLY Norway, Sweden and Denmark. The other countries mentioned is not scandinavia, however, often referred to as the Nordic Countries
Of course we must have a forum for the sexy and horney people here. And as already mentioned....with the most sexy laydies in the world
Call it 'scandinavian' or 'nordic' - do not matter. I am all for this forum
